GUEST DESIGNERS - 2009
My scrapbooking adventure began in 1998 when I was pregnant with my first child. Time and life had gotten in the way of my parents filling out my baby book …next thing they knew, I was 18 and leaving home for the Army! I wanted to make sure my daughter had a completed baby book so I started scrapbooking with a mail order kit of pre-printed pages with journaling prompts, cutesy stickers, and instructions on where to place the pictures. Looking back, I’m amazed and excited about how far this hobby has come!

My style is ever-changing because I enjoy trying new techniques and products whenever I discover them. I find inspiration from many places; craft fairs are one of my favorite places to get layout and color ideas. I try to push the envelope with myself creatively and love a challenge!

In 2003, I branched out from just scrapping with my friends and started teaching classes at crops, local scrapbook stores, and expos. I’ve been involved in all things scrappy ever since! I currently serve on several design teams and am the Creative Director for Scrapbook Royalty, a nonprofit that benefits charitable causes through crafting. I’m also an endorsed educator for Prima, Tattered Angels, Copic Markers, Fiskars, and Bind It All.

Hi! My name is Deb Famularo. I am a stay at home mom with two wonderful kids and a husband who supports my need to create, which has been well over 10 years now! When I first started scrapbooking, I was bored with the small variety of embellishments out there. So I began gluing rhinestones and buttons on my pages, eventually leading to my small business of handmade creations called 'Button Kisses' which I sold on ebay and to a few scrapbooking stores. After that, I went on to sell premade scrapbook pages on ebay.

Last year, I was honored to be one of ten semi-finalists in a national scrapbooking contest held by the Home Shopping Network. I recently was published for the very first time in Memory Makers. I spent the past year as a design team member for A Kiss on the Chic. Recently I signed a contract with a manufacturer which I can't disclose just yet, but it's my dream come true!

I'm amazed at the wonderful people I continue to meet in this incredible world of crafting! It's definitely been a Blessing and I am so grateful!
Hi, my name is Erin Payne and I am so thrilled to have a chance to work with the Miki Kits. I have been a fan since way back when, and always love to see what Terri comes up with in her cute kits!

I have been married to my high school sweetie for a very long time and have 2 cute kiddos. I love gettin' out and going on adventures, and just hang with my little fam.

I have been scrappin since about 1994, but have always had a love for stationary, school supplies and even my smelly sticker collection. I love to get together with my Bettie's and have a good old time chit chattin' and catching up. I love to see other peoples work, and love blog hoppin'. I recently landed a spot on the My Little Shoebox Design Team, and report from the newsdesk for them. {In other word make crazy video's!} Thanks so much for lookin' and grab yourself one of these kits! It is a killer!! Check out those american craft stickers, and all the papers from Cosmo... oh my gosh...it's another humdinger!!!

My name is Nathalie Leonelli and I am a stay at home mom of two boys, ages 7 and 11. I have been married to my very understanding husband, David, for 12 years. I am originally from France and now live in the San Diego area. I have been seriously addicted to scrapbooking only for the past few of years (even though I began my wedding album 10 years ago!). What started simply as an intention to get photos out of shoeboxes has become a creative outlet (if not an obsession!) that I can't imagine not indulging in. I currently design for two kit companies and I am honored to be Color Me Miki’s Guest Designer for the month of May.
I'm Erin Yamabe, and am honored to be this month's guest designer for Color Me Miki. I think Terri does a great job with her kit selections, and I'm hoping that I give some more inspiration!

I've been scrapbooking for over 10 years, and it wasn't really until 2003, the year after I had my first daughter, that I really found my own style. I love color, and using lots of it, and love the collage, layered look. I currently design for My Little Shoebox, and Picture Me Perfect, my lss in the Bay Area. My work has been published in Love My Memories and Hajimeyo Scrapbooking, both are magazines in Japan.

Hello! My name is Christine. I am a mom to five blessings and have been married to my high school sweetheart for 18 years. I have been scrapbooking for five years and was first introduced to rubber stamping. After realizing that patterned papers existed (and that it wasn't necessary for me to create background papers with my stamps), and that I could combine them with photos to create scrapbook pages, I was hooked! I enjoy working with lots of embellishments on my projects, and in particular Prima rhinestone swirls, Ranger Stickles glitter glue, ribbons and lace. I also use my Tim Holtz edge distresser very frequently. Some of my favorite tools include my Fiskars border punches, Martha Stewart border punches, and my Cuttlebug embossing folders used with my Sizzix Big Shot machine. I have recently opened a scrapbooking retreat house in French Valley, California, and look forward to welcoming other scrapbooking enthusiasts to visit it sometime soon.

I would like to thank Terri for the opportunity to be a guest designer this month. I love the Color Me Miki kits and had a wonderful time creating with the March kit!
I'm April Clemens and I'm a SAHM. I live in the San Diego area with my mysterious husband (wink) who is gone most of the time and my 2 adorable kiddos ages 1 and 3. I absolutely love crafting with my hands and have had the most fun working with Terri's kits! I'm currently on a Design Team and love to be surrounded by paper, embellishments and friends who share my obsession.

Hi everyone! My name is Kristie D. I am married to my high school sweetheart and together we have a beautiful curly headed little boy! I have been scrapbooking for over 10 years and for the past 2 years or so I have really been getting into photography. I have recently started my own photography business and it's going pretty well!! I love how scrapbooking can help your pictures tell a story and how you can preserve the past without just writing it down. A few of the things I love to scrapbook with are stickles (cause ya gotta love bling), thickers, lots of patterned paper for layering, flowers, bling of any kind, and my handy dandy scallop punch!!! A few things I love that don't have anything to do with scrapbooking are flipflops, a big ole bottle of freezing cold water, ranch dressing, and cuddling with my son! I am so excited to get to be a Guest Designer for Color Me Miki!! I loooooooove this kit club because it's so fresh and funky just like me!! LOL..
